A Place to Belong: Veterans Find Strength in Community

For many veterans and their families, the transition from military to civilian life can feel isolating. That's why Operation Veterans and Caregivers Support exists; to create a space where those who've served, and those who care for them, can find connection, encouragement, and hope. At the heart of the nonprofit's mission, are Muster & Mingle events; warm gatherings held twice a month for veterans and caregivers to share a meal, hear from inspiring speakers, and build friendships with people who truly understand military life. For some, it's the only place they feel seen and supported. This year alone, the organization has already served more than 570 people and hopes to reach 1,000 by year's end. Thanks to a $2,000 Above and Beyond investment from Christian Life Center, these vital gatherings can continue reminding every veteran that their service is honored, and they are not alone.
