In Eswatini, Africa the world's highest rate of HIV/AIDS has left behind a staggering number of orphaned and vulnerable children (OVCs). More than 350,000 children 58% of the nation's youth struggle daily with loss, poverty, and limited access to food, shelter, and education. Many households are even led by children themselves. In response, Challenge Ministries added preschools to the In Community By Community (ICBC) program; providing safe, nurturing spaces designed to meet the physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs of OVCs. At these preschools, children receive daily care, nourishment, and the opportunity to learn, all while being surrounded by the love of Christ demonstrated through teachers and pastors. Through Christian Life Center's Child Sponsorship Initiative, 1,215 children are currently enrolled in ICBC preschools. Of these, 1,149 children are directly sponsored by individuals and 66 more are supported by designated funds. With an Above and Beyond investment of $356,520, Christian Life Center is helping transform lives, ensuring Eswatini's most vulnerable children grow up knowing they are loved and not forgotten.
