Empowering Mothers and Children in Liberia

Lydia House International, founded in 2019, is a Christ-centered nonprofit dedicated to empowering vulnerable women and children in Liberia through housing, healthcare, vocational training, education, trauma-informed care, and discipleship. Located in Melekie, Lydia House exists to break cycles of poverty and raise up self-sustaining, Christ-like leaders who will impact their families and communities for generations. A key part of this ministry is providing education for children, an opportunity often out of reach for families in poverty. In Liberia, even public schooling requires tuition, uniforms, books, shoes, and meals, costs that no Lydia House child could meet on their own. Through an Above and Beyond investment of $4,420, 17 children received full scholarships covering fees, supplies, and lunch. Each child is thriving academically, with several even inspiring their mothers to begin learning to read and write alongside them. This investment is helping transform entire families through the power of education and God's love.
