Good Shepherd Ministries

Good Shepherd Ministries

Good Shepherd Ministries (GSM) is a local non-profit men’s recovery ministry on the East Side of Dayton. Founded in January of 2001, Good Shepherd Ministries acts as a bridge to those who are actively engaged in overcoming the cycle of addiction. They provide housing, crisis coaching, life coaching, job training, aid finding employment, and, most importantly, spiritual guidance and encouragement to be overcomers! They have served over 350 clients since opening and continue to expand ministries and facilities in order to accommodate all those God sends their way.

GSV Impact: Part of the GSM program is helping their men learn the value of labor through managing unique city clean up and grass cutting projects. Nothing replaces the real-world experience of having a job, earning money, and paying taxes. CLC’s grant afforded Good Shepherd Ministries the ability to purchase a newer F150 truck, trailer, and commercial mowing equipment.

GSV Investment: $60,000

Strategic Partner

Note: Good Shepherd Ministries was also the recipient of the 2022 “What if” offering of $202,253.91 These funds were also used for additional equipment as well as for remodeling homes purchased for residential use and resale.
